The Public Link partners meet in Galway to explore public services engaging citizens through innovative and collaborative ways

The Public Link project, co-funded by DG CNECT - The Directorate General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology of the European Commission, aims to citizen empowerment and improvement of access to public services, through people-centric digital transformation through partners pilot experiences that allow the co-creation of new services derived from the assets, knowledge and expertise supplied by the project and the network.

On the 5 th of October, all the partners met in Galway (Ireland) to review project progress and test disruptive technologies at the Insight Centre for Data Analytics.

During the sessions we got to test immersive and collaborative Virtual Reality experiences, we learnt how to create 360 videos and understood how to use a scanner to generate 3D floor plans as well as we had our first experience with an open-source 3D creator.

We did not only test and debate about new technologies and how we could deliver new or renew public services but also, we reviewed each partner’s progress.

The meeting was concluded with a final exercise to identify, map and establish the tactics to engage with the different stakeholders and collaborations in the project.

The pilot that Fomento San Sebastian will develop in the The Public Link project will be focused on an innovative digital service using a 360 visit and a chatbot. These technologies will be tested with the hosting plan programme of the Talent House building, which is a public service supporting the talent attraction and the competitiveness and economic development of the city San Sebastian.
