- Oharrak: We are seeking a motivated intern with a degree in Chemistry or Materials Science to join our research project focused on the synthesis of polymers within reversibly formed nanopores designed to mimic biologics.
Project Overview:
The main objective of the internship is to synthesize responsive polymers that can be incorporated into dynamic nanopore systems. These systems are designed to reversibly open and close pore sizes, enabling controlled transport of biologic molecules. The intern will be responsible for:
Synthesizing polymers containing stimuli-responsive functional groups
Investigating the polymers ability to modulate pore size in response to external stimuli (e.g., pH, temperature, light)
Characterizing the polymers and evaluating their performance in dynamic pore environments
Candidate Profile:
Background in polymer synthesis and characterization is required
Experience with techniques such as NMR, GPC, FTIR, and possibly microscopy or scattering methods is a plus
The internship will be conducted in English, so a minimum level of English proficiency is necessary - Maila akademikoa: Licenciatura o Grado (C5-8)
