  • Oharrak: The trainee will work to identify cellular and molecular switches in the progression of MetALD (combination of alcohol and high fat diet) and the contribution of aging.

    This project will involve study in several organs including liver, brain, immune cells/circulation and other potential organs such as adipose tissue, bone marrow or kidney. Validation experiments in human specimens will pbe performed when possible.

    Techniques involve: cell culture, flow cytometry, western
    blotting, pcr, mouse models of alcohol and high fat diet feeding and transcriptomics
