  • Observaciones: This project works at the interface between extracellular vesicles and genome editing technologies. We aim to develop a new delivery platform for genome editing payloads based on engineering extracellular vesicle (EV) membrane proteins. These engineered surface proteins will be studied as disease biomarkers and as tools to package new therapeutic payloads. We will study cellular uptake and intracellular cargo delivery, benchmarking our platform against leading non-viral and viral delivery systems. The intern will work on loading and delivering multiple genome editing tools, including CRISPR-Cas9 ribonucleoproteins for targeted gene disruption. Functional outcomes will be assessed by nextgeneration sequencing and fluorescence-based reporter assays.
