Observaciones: Polymers for Health::
The goal of this project is to develop 3D cell models with integrated sensing ability to monitor biological processes. To achieve this, we will incorporate sensing polymers into microgel formulations that can be later used as bioinks for 3D bioprinting to create 3D scaffolds that support cell growth.
The main objective of the internship is to study the incorporation of sensors into the microgels and monitor by fluorescence changes in the environment. By integrating chemistry, biomaterials engineering and polymer science, we aim to support the development of 3D tissue models able to in situ monitor biological processes. The intern will contribute to the following tasks:
Synthesis of sensors based on conjugated polymers
incorporation of the sensors into microgels using microfluidics
Characterization of the materials using different techniques such as rheology, fluorescence microscopy, SEM, etc.
Perform basic cell studies
