Monitoring plataform

Traditionally municipal management used to be in the hands of separate departments that didn’t share information. This made it difficult to get a global view of the city and to coordinate the various agents responsible for its functional running. The introduction of ICTs at municipal level makes it possible to provide efficient, automated management of urban infrastructure, and at the same time offers better services at lower costs. This means that the SmartKalea Project can provide a smart integrated platform that monitors data and integrates systems in real time. This platform obtains indicators and follow-up reports to improve municipal administration. It integrates data from various systems as they are displayed in the SmartKalea project (electricity, water, people counting, tracking, etc.) as well as data from other sources (weather data, city events calendar, etc.). For each area, the platform integrates consumption data in real time, and shows graphics and turns the collected data into valuable information to provide support for decision making and understanding the situation regarding system status. The project also predicts the monitored data in the project to provide added-value information.

The platform is linked in turn to the Fomento de San Sebastián Smart Kalea project web portal to provide citizens with important information about the various activities.
