Tides

Tides and the moon: The forces causing the tides are due to the attraction of the moon and the sun to the masses of water. When both heavenly bodies are aligned this causes neap tides, a characteristic phenomenon on the coast of San Sebastian in the months of September and October. These are spectacular when they coincide with massive storms in the Bay of Biscay.
