"Film in San Sebastian 2013" Contest

The San Sebastián Film Commission has invited people, companies and associations to share their views of San Sebastián as a film set with a 3 minutes video. The following are the participating videos.

The 22 short films can be viewed on Denda Point on 19 December from 16:30 to 18:00 h.




Jorge Gil

Jorge Gil

Is a scriptwriter and filmmaker, and project manager at Moriarti Produkzioak.

His script and film El método Arrieta won the People’s Choice Award at the Film and Human Rights Festival 2013. Before, he was assistant director in the documentary Lucio, nominated for the Goya Awards in 2007.

Jorge was assistant director and documentary maker in Una historia de Zinemaldia, a TV series directed by Diego Galán for TVE2 and ETB2, and scriptwriter for the TV shows Mihiluze (ETB1) and Vaya semanita (ETB2).

He holds a degree in Screenwriting from ECAM. Since 2008, he has taught Screenwriting for Beginners at the Larrotxene Cultural Centre.

Mikel Gurpegui

Mikel G. Gurpegui

Is an experienced film critic and journalist who has worked for a variety of media, like the regional newspaper Deia, the Donostia Tourism Centre, TeleDonosti, the San Telmo Museum and Diario Vasco, where he is a regular contributor, writing film reviews, a weekly section, and a daily section called La calle de la memoria, in which he looks at everyday life in Donostia-San Sebastián in hindsight.

Mikel is the author of travel books like Euskadi: Todo lo que hay que ver, visitar y conocer or the history of tamborrada. His fields of interest have to do with cultural, audio-visual and local issues.

Mila Pérez

Mila Pérez

Took her first steps as a designer and art director in advertising agencies in San Sebastián, Bilbao and Barcelona.

After completing a Master’s Programme in Communication at the Ramon Llull University, she specialised in communication on the Internet and social media. Currently, she is the General Manager of the communication agency Milagros de diseño, focusing on design and social media.

Mila is also President of On Egon, the first association of community managers and social media professionals in the Basque Country.
