Workshop: Social Entrepreneurship and Innovation: Development Models in Europe and Latin America

Territorial bid for innovation and active participation by key actors

New social and economic development models, greater social cohesion, ageing and quality of life, and sustainability are some of the challenges we are facing as a society. And they are more apparent in cities.

It is also in cities that we can work out better solutions, coordinating new working processes and developing strategies and mechanisms in our commitment to social innovation.

In doing this, we must identify the key actors, components, strategies and/or projects in other settings to explore other visions and thus make progress in the development of a model of our own.

The strategy of the Inter-American Development Bank for Latin America to boost social innovation as a crucial element in the region or the well-established bid for social entrepreneurship in the UK as embodied by organisations like UnLtd are some of the examples we will learn about and discuss in our workshop. A meeting to focus on local reality and design social innovation strategies and projects for the future.

Date: Thursday 18 June 2015.
Venue: Talent House,
Address: Paseo Duque de Baena, 42. 20009 San Sebastián.
