Five companies involved in the Donostia Surf City Cluster will be taking part at the next ISPO MUNICH International Fair, one of the most important board sports events in the world.

 

Between 5 and 8 February, five companies affiliated to the Donostia Surf City Cluster, promoted by the Department of Economic Promotion, will present on the Fomento de San Sebastián stand at the ISPO MUNICH International Fair with a view to holding professional meetings and making contacts with other agents in the sector. The following Cluster companies are taking part in this fair: SportJam, Ocean Sunglasses, Blueball Compression Clothing, Surflogic and Hotel Arrizul.

 

The City Councillor for Economic Promotion, Ernesto Gasco, highlighted that "one of the objectives of the Fomento de San Sebastián Donostia Surf City Cluster is to support competitive improvement and market opportunities for the companies involved”. In this regard, “the Cluster's participation in the ISPO Show allows these companies to improve the commercialisation of their products and open up new markets, since they have the opportunity to present them to the world's leading surf brands", he noted.

 

The ISPO MUNICH International Fair is considered one of the most important sports business events in the world, with 2,000 exhibitors for outdoor sports, skiing, and action sports, and 80,000 visitors from over 100 countries. By attending this fair, the companies involved in the Donostia Surf City Cluster are working towards the following objectives:

  • Professional meetings.
  • Participation in forums.
  • Good practices, the latest trends.
  • Commercial contacts.

 

To this end, the five participating companies will be taking part in the Fair through the Fomento de San Sebastián Donostia Surf City Cluster's stand, allowing them to make important contacts with agents from the sector through a schedule of meetings set up previously. The following companies are attending ISPO:

  • Sportjam: Organisers of an action sports fair for professionals and fans of action sports (the latest edition was held in Donostia/San Sebastián) www.sportjamshop.es
  • Ocean Sun Glasses: This is an engineering firm that develops and produces tools and accessories for water sports. So far, they have developed technical goggles, sunglasses, and helmets for the water. The Donostia Surf City Cluster represents a group of agents from the surf industry who are working together to develop a balanced, innovative and competitive sector. Currently, over 70% of the agents in the sector located in Donostia / San Sebastián and the surrounding area are affiliated to the Cluster. These include entrepreneurs with business initiatives, manufacturers, distributers, engineering firms, retailers, surf schools, media, specialist accommodation, inbound tourism companies, organisations and clubs, as well as training centres, R&D/Innovation centres, and public institutions as strategic partners..
