Residencias Connecting Talent, visiting professionals programme

PURPOSE

This programme allows professionals who currently reside outside of the Basque Country to spend living time in San Sebastian with a view to finding enterprising opportunities through projects and new businesses based on knowledge and innovation. It facilitates transfers, accommodation and subsidisation for foreign entrepreneurs. It also seeks to foster and support entities within the local innovation ecosystem that are looking to attract highly qualified professionals.

 

Who is the Connecting Talent Residential Programme aimed at?

1) If you are an R&D/Innovation company based in San Sebastian and are looking to recruit highly qualified professionals from outside the Basque Country, we can help to subsidise pre-recruitment costs.

Specifically through:

  • Subsidisation of travel expenses, up to 50%, with a maximum of €500.
  • Funding of up to €750 a month to cover talent attraction costs
  • Accommodation in San Sebastian for the person the company wishes to recruit during the period of their stay

 

2) If you are living outside the Basque Country and you are looking to launch an innovative business project in San Sebastian, we will help cover the costs of a previous stay in our city.

Specifically, through:

  • Subsidisation of travel expenses, up to 50%, with a maximum of €500
  • Expenses of up to €750 a month.
  • Accommodation in San Sebastian during your stay
  • Working space in San Sebastian during your stay
  • Advice and expert support.

 

3) If you are living outside the Basque Country and you wish to carry out a project, study or activity that promotes San Sebastian’s position as a knowledge and innovation hub, we will help you financially.

Specifically through:

  • Subsidisation of travel expenses, up to 50%, with a maximum of €500
  • Expenses of up to €750 a month.
  • Accommodation in San Sebastian during your stay
  • Working space in San Sebastian during your stay
  • Advice and expert support.

 

To roll out this Residential Programme to attract talent, Fomento de San Sebastián has initially allocated 100,000 euros to cover stays of between 15 days and 2 months.

 

Application process and required documents

Candidates must submit their applications until the exhaustion of the financial resources allocated to this programme, or until deadline on 30 November 2018.

 

All applications must be submitted online at the Fomento de San Sebastián website (www.fomentosansebastian.eus), following the relevant instructions.

In their applications, candidates must include the documents indicated in clause 7 of the programme’s terms and conditions for assessment. Said documents include a description of the activity to be carried out within the framework of the programme, its rationale and the estimated length of stay in Donostia-San Sebastián.

 

Candidates whose applications have been provisionally accepted must submit all the documents indicated in clause 7 of the programme’s terms and conditions within one(1) month of provisional acceptance for final acceptance.

 

Candidates who fail to meet these deadlines will be disqualified.
